This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced MEP Coordinator who enjoys being deeply involved in project execution and serving as the critical link between design teams, consultants, contractors, and owners. Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced MEP Coordinator / Construction Administration Professional to lead mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
This individual will work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to drive coordination efforts, support construction administration activities, and ensure seamless integration of building systems from concept through project completion.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to proactively identify and resolve coordination challenges before they become construction issues.
Key Responsibilities
Lead MEP coordination efforts from design development through construction administration and project closeout.
Coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems across multiple project @types.
Work closely with project managers, consultants, field teams, and subcontractors throughout all project phases.
Develop and maintain schedules for engineering, coordination, installation, commissioning, testing, and turnover activities.
Support material procurement, construction planning, and field coordination efforts.
Identify potential design, constructability, and field conflicts and collaborate with project teams to develop solutions.
Review drawings, BIM models, shop drawings, submittals, and technical documentation for coordination and compliance.
Ensure construction activities align with contract documents, approved submittals, and project requirements.
Participate in meetings with owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to maintain project alignment.
Assist with construction administration activities, issue resolution, and site coordination.
Maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders while helping drive project success and client satisfaction.
QualificationsRequired
10-15 years of experience related to MEP systems, construction management, engineering, construction administration, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
Extensive understanding of building systems, construction practices, and applicable codes.
Experience coordinating MEP trades throughout design and construction.
Ability to review construction documents, specifications, shop drawings, and BIM models.
Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Technical Skills
Proficiency with Revit and Bluebeam.
Experience with AutoCAD, Navisworks, BIM coordination tools, and model-based workflows.
Ability to navigate and review complex design and construction documentation.
Familiarity with MEP subcontractor management and coordination processes.
Preferred
Background in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Experience supporting mission critical, science & technology, commercial, mixed-use, or other technically complex projects.
Experience collaborating with architecture, engineering, and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
